Equitrans utilizes Maximo to track and document over 4,500 compressor shutdown events annually. These events are recorded in Maximo by the Gas Control Team. This data is used for run hour tracking and starts a workflow process for Operations to respond. Operations performs maintenance and completes work orders to document their findings. Operations also performs work orders to collect run hours for environmental reporting purposes.

Equitrans partnered with OSIsoft and their Systems Integration partner, CSE ICON, through an on-site workshop to discuss the automation of this process. Since this process touches several legacy systems and processes, it was important to collaborate with all stakeholders. This change has allowed Equitrans to reduce administrative time by the Gas Control team as well as eliminated the need for many data collection work orders by Operations.

Equitrans currently has 2 sites integrated with Maximo and plans to integrate an additional 34 sites in 2020.
