Description

Decarbonization will lead to a massive change in energy use and production. Today, less than 1 percent of energy is produced by photovoltaics globally, and less than 1/100th of a percent of energy using devices can report consumption and respond to signals for demand response, yet one utility has 3.7 million points in the PI System for their distribution system per million customers.
What happens when the world is decarbonized, what will the data look like then? How much data will be available, what does it mean to a household, a city, a utility and the world?
This presentation is based on real world pilots and provides a picture of what it might be like and where the data might come from. In a number filled, rapid fire presentation that will help you calibrate your data strategy and what you may see in the way of data to deal with during your career.

Our Speaker will be Doug Houseman, Burns & Mcdonnell.
This will be a special, joint session held together with Transmission and Distribution industry.
