Description
Kaiser Permanente has a large-scale Distributed Energy Resources deployment program to increase energy efficiency and help achieve the organization’s carbon neutrality goals. In addition, Kaiser Permanente is using DER to improve the ability of hospitals and medical office buildings to operate in the event of long-term power outages. This is particularly an issue with the heightened wildfire risk in California. This large adoption of DERs creates several types of new complexity such as increased number of technology vendors, behind-the-meter data silos, power purchase agreement compliance, DER asset optimization and integration with microgrid applications. This presentation will show how Kaiser Permanente is leveraging DERNetSoft energy marketplace to increase behind-the-meter DER data integration and asset optimization, enabling a set of innovative services such as load profile data sharing, power purchase agreement compliance, bill auditing, Net Energy Metering (NEM) monitoring, outage monitoring, predictive load consumption.
The speakers will provide insight on how the DERNetSoft solution was able to connect several Kaiser Permanente facilities and manage new stream of data to improve DER data visibility and asset optimization. DERNetSoft has developed an AI-based cloud platform which leverages OSIsoft Cloud Services, Edge Data Store and the FogLamp software stack to deliver an innovative set of advanced energy services.
