Description
The Chelan County Public Utility District provides electric, water, wastewater public utility and telecommunications services in North-Central Washington, USA. The PUD also owns and operates two hydroelectric dams on the Columbia River with a total nameplate capacity just under 2,000 MW. It is nonprofit and customer-owned with an average residential electric rate of about 3 cents per kilowatt-hour.
The Chelan County PUD uses PI Asset Framework (AF) as a hub for operational data, forecasts, and digital twin modeling. The PI Analysis Server is leveraged for data transformations, notifications, and to initiate service requests in our asset management software. Internal and external web services, computers, and analytics servers connect to the PUD’s on-premises data using the PI Web API, and cyber security is maintained using Azure Active Directory. Finally, the PUD uses PI Vision for operational data reporting and dashboarding, and all of the data displayed there is accessed via PI AF.
