Dan Foster-Roman is the manager of Ontario Power Generation’s Monitoring & Diagnostic Centre team who provide a variety of analytics and monitoring services across OPG’s Nuclear, Thermal and Renewable Power Generation Fleet. His team is focused on applying machine learning and physics-based modeling to prevent costly equipment failures and improve maintenance and operational efficiency. Dan is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from McMaster University with a Machine Learning Certification from Cornell University. With close to 10 years of experience in system and performance engineering prior to joining the M&D Centre team, he brings a strong track record of leveraging plant data and predictive analytics to drive continuous improvement.
