Laura has been working in the mining industry for over 10 years focusing on performance optimisation using data insights both at GBI Mining and within PwC's Consulting arm.  With a passion for data solutions, integration and innovation, Laura was drawn to the mining industry for its complex data and systems landscape.

Joining BHP in 2018, Laura worked in the IROC+(Integrated Remote Operations Centre) building the IROC+ Data & Reporting team, with an asset centric focus on data availability, data quality and enabling our operations to use our data to make better decisions.

More recently Laura has been leading the BHP Operations Systems engineering team for Technology Engineering (Minerals Australia) who partners with delivery groups and run teams to enable BHP to drive operational effectiveness, agility and performance through integrating our platforms and enabling data insights.  They work across application engineering, requirement engineering, and governance and stewardship for the MES Core, Real Time Data Platform and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Platform.

Outside of work Laura lives on a small hobby farm with husband and 2 children and enjoys taking care of her alpaca, sheep and cow.
