Registration and Changes

An email confirmation will be sent to you after you register and payment has been received. If you register for hotel, you will receive a separate email with the hotel confirmation number immediately.
Labs fill up quickly, so we recommend registering early. All available labs will show up as options in registration and you may choose as many as you'd like (one per time slot) at a cost of $150 each. There are no discount codes for labs.
If you would like to make a switch or cancel a lab that you signed up for, please email and we will assist you with modifying your registration.
You are welcome to send a substitute attendee at no charge if you email with notification prior to the conference. Cancellations received on or before March 10, 2020 will receive a refund for the amount paid minus a $175 cancellation fee. Confirmed registrants who cancel after March 11th or "no show" will be charged the full amount. 

To cancel or modify your hotel reservation, please email at least 72 hours in advance of the conference. If you do not cancel your registration, you may be subject to a "no show" fee equal to one-night stay to be charged to the credit card on file. Questions, please email

You may purchase a "Full Guest Pass" during registration for $150. This allows access to the Monday Welcome Reception, Tuesday Offsite Event, Wednesday Expo Reception, and Thursday Geek Night Party.
Yes, but we expect a sold-out event; therefore, we recommend registering early.

Speaker Information

Once your paper has been accepted and you have been contacted to register for the conference, you will receive a discount code. If you are a customer speaker, you will receive a 100% discount on registration. Partner speakers will receive a 25% discount using their UPA number.

Yes! As an expression of gratitude for your time and efforts in speaking at our conference, we would like to welcome you to PI World with a special reception for speakers only on Monday afternoon. More details on timing and location will be sent directly over email. You may also email with any questions.

Pricing and Payments

Pricing for the conference can be found here. Your registration payment will cover conference materials, sessions, event giveaways, lunch, and our evening events. It does not include hotel room or incidentals.
During registration, there is a box designated as "Discount Code" where you enter your promo code to adjust your fees.

All three conference hotels will require a credit card at the time of booking. All major credit cards are accepted for the guarantee.
Please refer to your confirmation email, which will have a link to the invoice/receipt.
We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and American Express) and wire transfers in the registration process. If you would like to pay with a PO, please select wire transfer during the registration process, then email your PO and confirmation email, and we will send you the Pro Forma Invoice.

Hotel & Travel Information

We offer a special rate of $289/night at each of the hotels: Hilton, Parc 55 and Nikko. Room rates and directions can be found on the Hotel Page of the event website.
You will receive your hotel confirmation immediately after you book your hotel using the links provided in your registration confirmation email.

The conference is taking place at the Hilton Union Square, Parc 55 and Nikko. The majority of sessions take place at the Hilton and other sessions will spill out to Parc 55 and Nikko (mostly labs). DevCon on Thursday, however, will take place at Parc 55.

A real-time agenda is posted and updated on this event website to help you schedule your time and travel. There will be weekly updates as content is approved and scheduled. Please check back frequently.
Please wear your conference badge to all group functions and meetings, including all evening events, so that you can be readily identified as a PI World attendee.
At this year's event, we are using wearable beacon technology to better understand what works and what does not. From recent surveys, we learned that attendees want a more personalized experience, and the only way for our events team to gain the knowledge required to achieve this is through sophisticated event technology. We have partnered with TRC to employ their wearable beacon technology and data analytics to provide us with this level of detail. Your data will not be copied, stored or released.

Our team does its best to accommodate food allergies and special diets based on your notes during registration. On site, we ask that you please communicate directly with the hotel staff should you require anything additional.
Monday and Wednesday would be your best nights to explore San Francisco as the conference will have evening events on Tuesday and Thursday for you to enjoy a full dinner and networking. We recommend working with your hotel concierge to book dinner or email in advance!
