This lab focuses on the migration of existing PI ProcessBook displays to PI Vision focusing on various scenarios from the ideal to incompatible VBA scripts.

First examine a display in PI ProcessBook and examine how it works. Then, use the Migration Utility to migrate the display to PI Vision, noting warnings for display components that cannot be fully migrated. Finally, we think outside-the-box, leveraging the advantages of PI Vision (& AF), to update the migrated display to have the same functionality as before.

We will repeat this several times, for different roadblocks that are likely to be encountered while migrating to PI Vision.
