Description
In this fun hands-on lab, you will learn how to use FogLAMP to get any Industrial IoT data into your PI Systems, and how FogLAMP can enable Predictive Maintenance (PM) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Each participant will receive a remote-control car fitted with a tiny Raspberry Pi Zero single-board computer and multiple sensors. You'll install FogLAMP on the Raspberry Pi, collect data from the sensors and send it via OMF to a PI Server. You'll learn how to write your own simple plugin to collect data and how to filter and pre-process that data in-flight. You'll set up events at the edge to detect anomalies and take action. At the end, everyone will play a game racing their cars, and collecting speed, light and temperature data. The car, Raspberry Pi and Sensors are yours to take home and experiment with on your own.

This lab requires a basic knowledge of Linux and PI systems. A general understanding of Python is a plus but is not required. Participants need to bring their laptop.
