Description
This presentation highlights how integrated data sources in OSIsoft PI Server combined with Seeq Advanced Analytics capabilities allowed Central Valley Water Reclamation Facility (CVWRF) to: 1) quantify energy savings from new pump operations, 2) identify up to $180k/yr energy savings in UV disinfection, and 3) identify needed corrective actions on sensor calibrations. CVWRF recently developed a road map to implement BC Blue Smart Utility principles and establish a digital environment that will facilitate new modes of optimizing their systems. The road map includes upgrading and migrating their existing PI historian server to PI Asset Framework and making it accessible outside of the control system network, integrating other business systems to PI Asset Framework, and enabling advanced analytics and data visualization software through connections to the new historian. The examples in this presentation summarize the benefits already observed in the early stages of implementing the road map.
