9:15 AM - 10:00 AM
Petro Rabigh - How the PI Infrastructure helps accelerate business value
Petro Rabigh will be presenting its journey with the PI Infrastructure and how it has helped the company lay the foundational infrastructure to manage, analyze and consume operational data for Real-time Operational and Business Intelligence across the company. Some of the key use cases that have an impact to business value at Petro Rabigh will be presented including Production Accounting, Real-time Flare Monitoring, Real-time Operations Monitoring, Integration of the PI infrastructure with other applications and systems, and the Migration Process from the previous historian to this company-wide data infrastructure that supports Petro Rabigh’s short and long-term Digital Transformation initiatives.
The presentation will be discussing how some of the key capabilities and functionality of the PI Infrastructure , such as Asset Framework and PI Vision are applied to achieve the use cases and associated business value mentioned earlier in addition to future plans and initiatives
10:15 AM - 11:00 AM
SBM Offshore - Digital FPSO Journey
SBM Operations entered end of 2016 in the Digital FPSO project and has gone through the main stage of the digital transformation since then. From data collection, structuration, analytics, displays and machine learning. Leveraging on the full potential of PI environment and other integrated digital solutions
11:15 AM - 12:00 PM
Daleel Petroleum - Production Surveillance via Real-Time Well Models
With Daleel's production requirements continuing to rise, the exploration, development and production of new oil and gas resources are shifting to increasingly challenging sites. Meanwhile, regulations continue to tighten worldwide, and finding and keeping experienced personnel is getting harder. Forecasting and budgeting are exceedingly difficult in the face of ongoing pricing volatility and the many other uncertainties of a dynamic environment in and out of the field.

In response, Daleel has turned to a variety of innovative, upstream petroleum technologies. However these technologies alone are not enough to meet the full set of demands confronting today's industry. In late 2014, Daleel decided to view operational data as a resource. Automation & RTO was created as a new division within the production department to promote the idea of “Smart Daleel" which mainly look after providing required intelligence to asset team so they take the right decisions.
1:45 PM - 2:30 PM

2:45 PM - 3:30 PM
ENI - PI System to Big Data Analytics: Data Driven reduction of upstream environmental impact
This paper highlights the extension of PI analytics functionalities taking advantage of the power of Machine Learning and Big Data Analytics. These techniques have been applied to the forecast and reduction of the energy consumption in an upstream plant. PI system features such as high availability, smart data interpolation and cleansing capabilities are leveraged along the overall pipeline of any machine learning product development: exploration, training and deployment. The final model is deployed in the Big Data Infrastructure and fed with near real time data. This solution achieves two main results: a reduction of co2 emissions and a smooth transition for experienced plant operators towards advanced Analytics solutions and data science techniques in the Oil & Gas Business.
3:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Servelec Controls & OSIsoft - Using PI AF to ensure the data quality of critical operational information within the PI System
Monitoring the quality of critical data used for operations is critical within the Oil & Gas industry - ensuring that accurate and reliable data is provided to an operator is a commercial obligation but can also impact on critical systems. How can we validate this data in PI and ensure data confidence?

In this presentation Mike and Alexander will demonstrate how the PI System can be used to improve data confidence using data democracies and order of preference substitution.

The session will include a live demo building an AF solution which can detect issues with this critical data and implement tactics to avoid incorrect data being consumed.
4:15 PM - 4:45 PM
Petronas - Rotating Equipment Monitoring
In recent years, assets were deploying various Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) remote monitoring system solutions for different types of OEM, which require additional hardware installation at site, significant capital expenditure and a monthly subscription for each OEMs. Defying the norm, PETRONAS Upstream Operational Excellence team has decided to embark on the digital journey by developing in-house monitoring and analysis too using PI System/PI Vision, which is capable to identify anomalies trends, highlight potential incipient failures and identify opportunities for reliability improvement of the turbomachinery equipment.
The pilot implementation was conducted in 2017 for two units of turbomachinery equipment, which are supercritical equipment at a particular asset.
5:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Petronas - Managing Real-Time Data Reliability in Brown Field Digitalisation
This paper examines the efforts made to strengthen the management of real time data from our offshore legacy assets in PETRONAS & provide an assurance mechanism on data trustworthiness.

It aims to share the experience in developing & operationalizing an in-house real time data reliability tool across 5 offshore fields in PETRONAS covering more than 100,000 data points.

The pilot phase is still on-going, however preliminary results from this project is very encouraging. The project has begun contributing to higher data reliability & this is used as an indicator for further investment in digital operations.
5:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Oil & Gas Best Practices Panel Discussion
Round robin led discussion
